What fails on it
- Temperature sensor Bakes come out pale or slow while the screen insists the oven is at the number you chose.
- Convection fan A new rattle or hum on convection, or browning that runs darker at the back than at the front.
- Push-to-open door It opens with a firm press on its upper middle and shuts with an upward swing and a push. One that springs back or will not release needs its hardware checked.
- Self-clean lock The lock is motor-driven and holds the door through a clean cycle until the oven cools. If it stays shut long after that, leave it and call.
- Control or touch panel Touches ignored, or a chosen mode that never heats. A genuine fault, but the last thing tested.
Living with a push-to-open door
Wolf’s guide describes the Contemporary door plainly: press firmly on the upper middle to open it; to close, swing it upward and press firmly. A gentle push low on the door may do neither, which can look like a fault when nothing is wrong.
If the door ignores the right technique, sits unevenly against the frame or lets warm air past one edge, the hinges or the catch are checked. That is a door-band repair, priced once the part at fault has been found.
Copy the whole line off the plate
Wolf lists SO30CM/B and SO30CM/S as separate entries with different start years, so the letter after the slash belongs to the model. Parts are looked up by that exact line.

- Wait first. Wolf's guide says the door stays locked until the clean cycle has ended and the oven has cooled, which can be some time after the cycle itself finishes. - Is a Contemporary SO30CM harder to repair than the other M Series styles?
